I AM Crazy

Nala and our newest sweet mistake.

I'm feeling optomistic. So I thought I'd enlighten you with a blog. So enjoy it, my few readers.
On Monday I was driving Jodie back to work after lunch when said the strangest thing. "What would you think about getting another puppy?"
A million thoughts flew through my head. "Are you kidding me?! Nala is just at four months and is finally almost completely housetrained. She sleeps through the night and is just about to be enrolled in training school. No, no, no, NO! Absolutely not."
Then my stupid heart took over. "Nala does love other dogs... it would be nice for her to have a playmate while I'm away at work. I have been sad that she's getting older and losing her puppy features. She used to cuddle. I love cuddling. I love the puppy barks and awkward running. I love watching them grow and training them..."
So I went with the good old "I'll think about it."
He must be crazy. I must be crazy. Well maybe I'll just go look at them; it's only half an hour away. It'd be nice to drive in the country.
So we went. And we looked. And my heart just melted. I wanted them all. Before I knew it I was walking out of the house with a 9 week old German Short Haired Pointer.
She cries at night, pees on the floor, cries when I'm not around her, digs a little, and has stolen my heart.
When we introduced her to Nala, we were a little nervous. How would this shy crying puppy handle our clumsy white ball of energy that is Nala? Much to our dismay, we found that she stood up for herself. She is shorter than Nala's legs and still wouldn't be pushed around. I turned to Jodie, "She's got a lot of moxie." Then my words registered. Moxie. "Moxie," I said again and looked him in the eye. "It's perfect," he agreed.
And so I'd like to introduce you to our other dog, Moxie.

Sleeping after a long afternoon of tag and tug-o-war with Nala.

Moxie chewing pinecones.

And if I get another dog while I still have these two, you have my permission to shoot me.
